    Lamb Champs – Pretoria

    26 Jul 2025 10:00

    About

SOLD OUT – NO TICKETS AT THE GATE
Lamb Champs is not just a competition; it’s a movement that celebrates South Africa’s family farmers, their expertise, and the world-class lamb they produce.
Unlike other meat industries that have largely shifted into corporate hands, sheep farming remains deeply rooted in family-owned farms, where knowledge and passion are passed down through generations.
What makes lamb unique is that it remains one of the last meats still enjoyed in its purest form – as chops on the fire, bringing families and friends together.
It hasn’t been reduced to a commodity like chicken nuggets, beef patties, or processed pork. It is a premium product, valued for its tradition and quality, and Lamb Champs ensures that consumers connect with the farmers behind every cut of meat.
Sponsored by Pick n Pay, this initiative goes beyond a competition. Pick n Pay is actively creating shelf space in their stores, allowing South African consumers to engage with the stories behind the food they buy. Lamb Champs educates, inspires, and ensures that family farming remains a thriving, sustainable profession for generations to come.
At the heart of it all, this event is a celebration of family farmers—the custodians of our land, our traditions, and our future.
    All ticket holders will enjoy:
    • Unlimited spit-roasted lamb – eat as much as you like while stocks last!
    • Access to the beer tent, food stalls, and exhibitor stands.
    • Live performances by top South African artists throughout the day.
    • A live broadcast of the rugby match on the big screen.
