Join ReachOUT Community Projects on August 9, 2025, for a day of inspiration, connection, and empowerment at the East Rand School of Arts, Benoni.
Theme: “Heavenly Minded but Earthly Disconnected”
Speakers Dr. Eva Seobi and Dr. Nana Mhlongo will challenge us to balance spiritual depth with real-world impact. The day features uplifting music by Thembi Magubane.

ALL DAY SHORT-CIRCUIT ACTION AT KILLARNEY!
Experience a full day of small bike racing at its best at Round 7 of Killarney’s Short Circuit Series.
ALL ON ONE TICKET! Short Circuit, Regional Karting and a Racing4Change Gymkhana.
The arena is Killarney’s Half-Main circuit – from Castrol Corner to Damp’s Dip and back the hard way – 1.4 kilometres of tight and twisty tar with almost no straights – it’s only for the brave!
Quickfire action all morning with closely-fought sprint races over 10 laps each – a new race every 15 minutes.
August is Women’s Month, and we’re celebrating the incredible women of WPMC Short Circuit! On and off the track, these ladies keep the wheels turning and the energy high.
Join us on Saturday 9 August as the women of Short Circuit take to the track for a few special parade laps, showcasing their passion, skill, and dedication to the sport. Let’s cheer them on as they open the throttle lnd lead the way!
Then, after the break, there’s Round 2 of the Short Circuit Endurance Series – a three-hour endurance race for lightweight motorcycles. It’s a fascinating combination of all-out sprint racing and carefully planned pit-stops – punctuated by frantic MacGyvering in the pits when bikes go down and have to be repaired in a hurry!
Bring your gazebo and skottelbraai or cooler box and make the most of the day’s racing with intense action from all six motorcycle categories.

The Women’s Day Celebration offers a 2 day thoughtfully curated day-long experience designed to honor, empower, and celebrate women through wellness activities, personal development, and entertainment. Beginning with morning revitalization and culminating in an evening celebration, this event creates a meaningful journey that addresses the mind, body, and spirit of every participant.

Guided by a world expert Rockjumper birding tour leader, this birding walk around the productive grounds of Hilton College Estate will be an ideal introduction to birds and birding. Your leader will be carrying a Zeiss telescope allowing great views of any perched species. Walking distance approximately 3km on a trail which will include an uphill section, and sturdy shoes are required. On arrival kindly park in designated festival parking.

We are thrilled to offer a 4 hour excursion to the famous Karkloof Spa property (Ihlanze Game Reserve).
Our focus will be birding the bushveld, forests and special wetlands of this impressively scenic reserve. We will be exploring from an open game drive vehicle accompanied by an expert bird guide. 344 bird species have so far been confirmed on the reserve and highlights might include the resident African Finfoot, Half-collared Kingfisher, Black Heron, Crowned Eagle or African Cuckoo Hawk amongst many other special birds.

In 1963 South Africa, during the Apartheid era, the government, led by Hendrik Verwoerd, brutally suppressed resistance, leading to political unrest and violence. Eleanor, a young single mother working at Griggs Bookstore in Durban, is arrested and interrogated under the 90-day detention act due to her connection with Red Ronnie Kasrils, a “terrorist” wanted for sabotage. Eleanor, a clandestine agent for the Underground ANC, decides to fake a nervous breakdown to be transferred to a psychiatric institution, from where she plans to escape.

The Cry of Winnie Mandela is a theatrical adaptation directed by MoMo Matsunyane. The play explores the resilience of South African women through the stories of four characters who reflect on their experiences of waiting during the absence of their men. The production blends intense emotions with humor, revealing the shadows, isolation, and complexities of their lives. The central theme of waiting invites the audience to connect historical struggles with contemporary experiences.
