About the SACAA Aeronautical Engineering Bursary 2026
Are you passionate about flight, science, and innovation—but lack the financial support to pursue your dream career? The South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) is offering an incredible opportunity for academically deserving students to study Aeronautical Engineering at accredited South African institutions.
This bursary is designed to open the skies for South Africa’s future aviators, particularly those who have the ambition and talent, but not the financial means.
What the Bursary Covers
- Full tuition and registration fees
- Accommodation
- Monthly stipend
- Textbooks and study materials
Who Should Apply
You must:
- Be a South African citizen between the ages of 18 – 35
- Be currently in Matric or already have a Matric certificate with:
- Level 6 or higher in Pure Mathematics
- Level 6 or higher in Physical Science
- Have acceptance or provisional acceptance into a recognised Aeronautical Engineering programme
- Demonstrate financial need
- Be passionate about engineering, aviation, and innovation
Required Documents (MANDATORY)
Your application must include:
- Certified ID copy
- Matric Certificate or latest Grade 12 results
- Proof of household income / financial need
- Motivation letter explaining your passion and ambition
